Habip Koçak

I was born in 1969 in Tarsus. I completed my university education at Çukurova University, Department of Mathematics. In 1995, I started working as a Research Assistant at Marmara University. After 25 years, I resigned and moved to England. I am currently working as a Senior Researcher at the Oxford Center of Technology and Development.

In photography, I try to produce Documentary Photography, which I think is in the middle of life. For this, I attended the Documentary Workshop of IFSAK, the Consultant of Altan BAL, and the Conceptual Photography Workshops, of which Özcan YAMAN was the consultant.

Recently, I produced projects named "Obscure", "Kakava - Behind the Scene" and "I Can't Breathe". As of October 2020, my book titled “Obscure”, which includes street portraits I produced in the previous years has been published.

I am currently a member of RPS (Royal Photographic Society), OPS (Oxford Photographic Society) and IFSAK.

Habip Koçak

1969 Tarsus doğumluyum. Üniversite eğitimimi Çukurova Üniversitesi Matematik Bölümünde tamamladım. 1995 yılında Araştırma Görevlisi olarak Marmara Üniversitesi’nde göreve başladım. 25 yıl sonrasından istifa edip İngiltere’ye taşındım.  Halen Oxford Centre of Technology and Development’ da Senior Researcher olarak görev yapıyorum.

Fotoğrafta, hayatın tam da ortasında yer aldığını düşündüğüm Belgesel Fotoğrafçılıkta üretim yapmaya çalışıyorum. Bunun için IFSAK bünyesinde Danışmanlığını Altan BAL’in yaptığı Belgesel Atölyesi ile Danışmanlığını Özcan YAMAN’ın yaptığı Kavramsal Fotoğraf Atölyelerine katıldım.

Son dönemde, “Obscure”, “Kakava – Behind the Scene” ve  “I Can’t Breathe” isimli projeleri ürettim. Ekim 2020 itibariyle de, geçmiş yıllarda üretmiş olduğum sokak portrelerini içeren “Ünsüzler” isimli kitabım yayınlandı.

Halen RPS (Royal Photographic Society), OPS (Oxford Photographic Society) ve İFSAK üyesiyim.
